Account Manager, FMCG

Account Manager, FMCG, £28,000 Basic, £37,000 OTE plus car allowance. Package includes generous pension, life assurance, private health cover and other benefits. Field based from HQ on outskirts of Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.

This is a rarely available Field based account management role with a major manufacturer of premium consumer electronics, AV equipment, computer accessories, peripherals and connectors. The role is managing the largest UK account which is the UK's largest electrical retailing group.

The role reports directly into the National Sales Manager and due to the succession plan in place it is planned that the successful applicant will progress into a Sales Management role within two to three years.

To succeed you will be a proven FMCG account manager with experience of introducing new product into major retailers. The role also requires representation at trade conferences and exhibitions and typically this will involve a handful of overseas trips per year.

* Proven account management experience within FMCG
* Proven track record in selling into the major retailers.
* You will be self motivated, goal driven, results oriented and detail oriented.
* You will be a confident communicator with a strong character and belief in your own conviction and decisions. Reporting into a flat management structure an ability to take responsibility for your actions and to learn from your mistakes is a prerequisite.
* You will have strong communication skills and be well presented.
* At interview you must be able to demonstrate a high degree of loyalty to past employers and a CV that demonstrates logical career progression
