This company are one of the leading Food Hygiene, Health & Safety organisations and boast a client base that includes the UK's most prestigious Hotels, Restaurants, Bars and Entertainment Venues. Other markets include Food Manufactures, Caterers and Retailers. Having enjoyed a phenomenal 2009 they are now looking to appoint a business development manager to help grow the Leisure and Hospitality sector.
This is a fascinating role when genuinely no two days are the same. Initially you will be based from their London office but once you've found your feet you will be given the freedom to work from home. This is very much a client facing role and will require regular meetings with General Manager's, Head Chefs and Health & Safety Executives. The product is a 'must have' and the clients are generally very approachable. This is a fun, fast paced industry far removed from a stuffy corporate environment.
To be considered you will be able to demonstrate a proven ability in sales & marketing, in a new business environment. You will be equally comfortable at picking up the phone and booking appointment as you are presenting face to face. Personality is key to this role, with friends and colleagues describing you as confident, full of energy, professional, organised, not shy and with a fun sense of humour! The type of person with the ability to get to know the right people, pull the right strings and secure a last minute table at The Ivy this Friday night!
