Sales Executive, E-Commerce Solutions

Sales Executive, E-Commerce Solutions, Haywards Heath, Sussex. £25, 000 Basic + uncapped bonus scheme plus additional benefits. Established in 1999 this e-commerce solutions provider were one of the first of their kind to offer both 'off the shelf' and completely bespoke e-commerce solutions. Now working with some of the UK's largest retailers, etailers and back office solution providers the company seek an experienced business developer that is able to introduce a wide range of services and products in a consultative 'hand holding' way. This is a largely internally based role with occasional face-to-face visits (though it's recommended that clients come down to Hayward's Heath to see the operation) that requires a sales professional with a demonstrable record of building business within software or web technologies. The role is highly consultative and requires high levels of commercial understanding as you assess where the client is "now in their business" and "where they want to be in five years". You will then recommend and deliver long term solutions to enable them to achieve their aims. This includes a full scope and needs analysis which could include projects such as usability and traffic stats, branding, design, web development, redesign and reworking, split tests, metrics testing, consumer testing and market research, capturing measurable, improving conversion rations, merchandising, analysing calls to action, PPC campaign measurement, etc. Armed with this information you will now be able to recommend solutions to enable them to achieve their goals.

Supported by pre-sales and technical staff the role requires a tenacious yet consultative professional that is able to secure often high valued projects at senior levels. You will ideally have a solid understanding of web technologies and some appreciation of retail/online purchasing. You will win business with the approach of being an 'online business advisor' and as such you will be straight talking, honest, credible and possess gravitas both over the 'phone and face-to-face. Whilst you are expected to be target and money oriented you must also balance this with the ability to develop warm and long lasting partnership relationships based upon selling what is right for the client.
This vacancy is due to expansion and is ideal for an individual with a strong sales or telesales background within web technologies, web development, bespoke software sales or another solution where the sale is won from listening to the client and building the solution based upon their exact need. The role is a combination of account management and new business and is predominantly office based with typically two face-to-face client visits per week. The company have a history of developing and investing into their staff and enjoy high staff retention.

To succeed you will be bright, customer service oriented and proactive with a natural sales approach. As the company are based in Haywards Heath you will ideally be a driver and living in the Brighton, Hove, Crawley, Burgess Hill, Horsham or Haywards Heath region.
