'Good grooming great' for job interviews

By John Oak

Jobseekers should take care of their appearance as well as their preparation when they go for employment interviews, it has been claimed.

According to BlackNews.com, shirts should be ironed and look crisp, while shoes should be freshly polished in order to make the best possible impression on would-be employers.

The news provider went on to recommend paying close attention to shaving, hair styling and breath freshness, stating that these could all effect whether a candidate is offered a job.

Referencing the movie Jerry Maguire, the site went on to say that jobseekers should leave their interviewer feeling "You had me at hello", and recommended shaking hands while making eye contact in order to make a connection worth remembering and calling back for a second interview.

Earlier this week, blogger James Charles wrote for the Times that jobseekers' CVs should be well-laid out and tailored to the post a candidate is going for.
