Graduates looking for sales jobs 'need to be flexible'

Graduates looking for sales jobs will need to be more flexible and prepared in order to find a job, one organisation has recommended.

The Recruitment Society said that as competition increases, with large numbers of people being made unemployed, graduates will need to look more widely for sales jobs.

Steve Huxham, chairman of organisation, said jobseekers cannot take the chance to sit back and relax, as previous generations may have done.

"The more applications you make, the more effort you have put into those applications, the more opportunities you identify, [the more you can identify] chances to build your experience, that is what makes the difference," he added.

However, overall the expert said those looking for sales jobs should not panic but just acknowledge they may have to work harder to gain employment.
