Sales jobs 'could be obtained through unconventional strategies'
Taking a new or unconventional approach to job seeking could be the key to obtaining a competitively-contested sales job, an expert suggests.
Molly Wendell, author of The New Job Search, claims that taking an unusual approach such as arriving early when targeting a firm at a job fair and helping set up the stand could be an example of how to obtain the dream sales job.
She says that looking for work can be an ideal opportunity to determine what direction to take.
"Those who take the time, investigate options and build new relationships come out of this transition not only more mentally grounded, but far more prepared for the next time they're in transition," she asserts.
Earlier this month, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development reported that young people need to be entrepreneurial if they are to secure a sales job, as this will help candidates impress prospective employers.
