Expert: A good smile can help ensure sales recruitment success
People who look after their teeth and have a nice smile could see more success in sales recruitment, according to an expert.
Victoria Thompson, consultant for PER Recruitment, said that if a person's teeth are clean and their breath is fresh, then they should smile more.
She added: "With so many candidates out there at the moment, people need to maximise every opportunity to sell themselves. Interviewers are not expecting film star teeth - just be comfortable with their own teeth."
Ms Thompson's comments come after research from Oral-B showed that there was a link between having healthy teeth and perceived earning potential.
The Smile Report showed that 82 per cent of those questioned said that people probably earned more if they had good dental health.
Furthermore, 80 per cent also agreed that someone was more likely to get a sales job in the current economic climate with a healthy smile.
Earlier this month, research found that people wanting to improve their dental health should cut down on drinking white wine, as the high acid content wears away the enamel on teeth.
